Top Questions From CBD Customers

Top 10 Questions from CBD Consumers

Even as the demand for CBD products surges, you’re bound to get many questions from consumers who are either new to CBD or who are looking for guidance on new products to try.

In most cases, people hear about CBD for the first time from news segments, media outlets, or someone close to them who has benefitted from using hemp. When they come to you, customers will likely have heard about the cannabinoid’s exciting benefits but will have questions before trying CBD for themselves.

Take a little time to familiarize yourself with the top 10 questions from CBD consumers so that you can share your expertise and reassure them that CBD oil products are a great choice for anyone interested in wellbeing.

1. Are You Sure CBD is Legal?

U.S. laws around cannabis products continue to be complex, so it’s likely that you’ll be presented with customers who are curious about the benefits of CBD oil but have been hesitant to get started because of confusion over the legality of CBD and CBD products.

Reassure your customers that when derived from hemp, rather than marijuana, CBD oil products are legal at the federal level and available to buy and use without a doctor’s recommendation. The legality of hemp and hemp-derived products like CBD oil in the U.S. were clarified last December with the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill.

Individual states can implement their own laws around hemp CBD, but in most cases, hemp-derived CBD products are legal to manufacture, purchase, and use.

2. Is this CBD Product Safe?

Whether your customers are interested in buying CBD oil products for themselves or as gifts, many will rightfully be curious about the safety of CBD. Not all CBD products are created equal, and it’s now more important than ever that consumers are educated on how to identify safe and high-quality hemp products.

Explain to your CBD consumers that HempMeds’ award-winning CBD oil brands like Real Scientific Hemp Oil® (RSHO®) and Dixie Botanicals® contain hemp oil sourced from non-GMO grown by families of farmers without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. The CBD oil is extracted using a clean CO2 process, rather than damaging solvents used by some manufacturers.

Lastly, all of our CBD products are subject to our Triple Lab Testing® process, which involves examining the safety and quality of the products three separate times. These stringent manufacturing and testing processes ensure a safe CBD oil product, every time.

3. Is This CBD Product Psychoactive?

It’s perhaps the most common question from CBD consumers: Will using CBD oil cause euphoric or intoxicating effects?

The straight answer is no  — CBD oil derived from hemp does not cause euphoric effects and will not cause any type of intoxication or impairing effects.

CBD oil from hemp contains no more than 0.3 percent THC, far too little to cause intoxicated feelings, even with frequent use.

4. How Will Using CBD Make Me Feel?

Most often, CBD consumers who ask this question are concerned that using a CBD oil product will cause intoxicating, or euphoric, effects. Relieve your customers’ fears by letting them know that hemp products contain only negligible levels of THC.

As far as the feelings using CBD oil may elicit, not everyone responds the same. Some have reported experiencing a heightened sense of relaxation after using CBD, while others say they notice slight awakening effects. Some consumers may not notice any type of sensation after using CBD oil, but instead note that they simply feel better during the day and sleep more soundly at night with regular use.

5. Which CBD Product Should I Try?

As you guide your CBD consumers in finding the best CBD product for them, it’s helpful to ask whether their priority is potency, budget, or delivery method.

If a CBD consumer is seeking the highest amount of CBD possible, you can direct them to more concentrated products like our RSHO® Special Blend pure hemp oil with 190 mg of CBD per serving, or our RSHO® CBD Isolate made up of 99 percent CBD.

For those looking to start with a lower potency or more affordable product, you can point them to low CBD products like our Dixie Botanicals® CBD Gems or Dew Drop Tinctures.

Consumers may also have preferences around delivery method. For anyone looking for the easiest or most convenient way to add CBD oil to their day, products like CBD capsules and CBD tinctures are often a popular choice.

Those who would prefer versatility in their CBD routine may enjoy our MCT oil-based RSHO® Liquids or our RSHO® CBD Isolate, which can be taken on their own or easily mixed into foods and beverages.

Consumers with troubled skin areas may also prefer topical or body care CBD products, like our Hydrating & Purifying Hemp Shampoo or our RSHO® CBD Salve, which enhance the health of skin and hair and soothe tired muscles and joints.

6. Will This CBD Product Help With [Fill in the Blank]?

Many of your CBD consumers will come to you because they’ve heard exciting findings about CBD. FDA regulations require that CBD manufacturers and distributors not recommend products for the treatment or diagnosis of any medical conditions.

When asked about whether CBD will cure or treat any condition, it’s best to recommend that they consult credible sources of research and talk with their doctor. Talking with others who have incorporated CBD products into their wellness routine can also be helpful.

7. How Does This CBD Brand Compare to Others?

HempMeds’ line of CBD oil brands stands out from others on the market. We were the first company to introduce hemp CBD oil products to market in 2012.

HempMeds also leads the hemp CBD industry in our production and product testing guidelines. We were the first CBD company to implement a rigorous Triple Lab Testing® process to verify the safety and quality of our products and have had many of our products certified by the U.S. Hemp Authority. We are also the first company to have CBD products listed in the Prescriber’s Desk Reference (PDR), a resource for medical professionals that gives support on prescribing decisions.

Our CBD product lines have also been chosen as the first legally available products by major foreign markets like Brazil and Mexico.

8. How Much of This CBD Product Should I Take?

Those who are new to CBD often looking for guidance on a typical serving of CBD oil.

There is no “one size fits all” serving size when it comes to CBD oil. Customers will find differences in their personally optimal CBD serving size.

HempMeds’ CBD products do provide suggested serving sizes, available on each individual product label. These are meant to serve as a starting point as customers dial in on the right serving for their personal wellness needs and situation.

Like when starting any new wellness routine, your consumers should start with a small serving and gradually work their way up as needed.

9. Do You Know if This CBD Company Tests Their Products?

There are currently no testing standards in the hemp oil industry, so CBD consumers are right to ask about a CBD company’s testing procedures.

HempMeds®’ CBD oil products are put through rigorous safety measures, including our Triple Lab Testing® process, to ensure their safety and quality. This process examines our CBD oil and its resulting products three times through our manufacturing process using licensed third party labs.

Our strict testing standards have led to our products earning a certification by the U.S. Hemp Authority.

10. Can I Take This CBD Product and Still Pass a Drug Test?

First responders, members of the U.S. Military, competitive athletes, teachers, and others may be concerned about the possibility of a positive drug test result from using hemp CBD oil products.

Different drug tests screen for different substances, and most workplace drug screens designed to detect cannabis use look specifically for THC or its main metabolite, THC-COOH. Because there are only trace amounts of THC in hemp CBD oil, in most cases it will not cause a positive drug test.

With that said, some studies have shown that hemp products, in rare cases, can show up on urine or blood drug tests. Therefore, we recommend you suggest to any customer that is concerned about having a positive drug test to avoid consuming CBD oil.
