NFL Seeks Right Answer for Marijuana Use

You are not seeing things. That is a real Associated Press (AP) headline that just ran from “sea to shining sea.”

The news media made note on a global scale as, for the first time ever, the federal government (NIH) turned to a small Long Island, NY, company called Kannalife Sciences to develop an FDA-approved CTE drug with the same plant that’s getting some NFL players in hot water for testing positive: cannabis.

You may have read our previous coverage on the HempMeds blog, but current NFL players are still getting fined and sidelined for using “marijuana.” Yet, federal government research now has top scientists studying the ancient plant for solutions to a concussion syndrome called CTE — found in NHL, professional soccer and, yes, NFL players.  CLICK HERE to read more.
