How Much CBD Oil Should I Vape?

You’ve heard about CBD oil. You’ve undoubtedly heard about vaping. Perhaps you don’t know exactly what CBD oil is or have never actually tried vaping… well, anything. Yet, you’re curious about both.

We’ve got you covered! First, we’ll give you a quick primer on what CBD oil is and then we’ll tell you how it can be enjoyed through vaporization. Read on my soon-to-be vaping CBD friend, read on.

WHAT IS CBD?

What Is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the many chemical compounds found in marijuana. There are over a hundred of these active cannabinoids, including the most well-known of all, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

THC is the psychoactive component in cannabis, the compound that gets users high. CBD does not make the user high but is able to promote balance and wellness by stimulating the body’s own endocannabinoid system. CBD oil contains trace amounts of THC, or even non-detectable amounts (RSHO™ X-oil).

This singling out of CBD within cannabis is a relatively recent development. Even though it was discovered decades ago, the mass production of CBD products has only taken off in the last four or five years. (HempMeds® was there and had a hand in starting it all, click here for details.)

This has led to various CBD hemp oil products, such as liquids, tinctures, chews, topicals like balms and salves, capsules, and chews. The raw oil itself is available in handy oral applicators as well as bottles of liquid mixed with MCT oil. When mixed correctly to ensure packaging, delivery, and intake, vaporizing is a great addition to help you build your CBD pillar.

What is Vaping CBD?What is Vaping CBD?

When it comes to vaping CBD, it’s best to start simple. A vape pen that uses a cartridge system, either disposable or replaceable cartridges, is a great starter point. These basic vaporizer tools are easy to use, and usually come along with a “starter kit” that includes the charger and a cartridge or two. All you need to do is charge the base, thread on the cartridge, turn it on and take a drag; it’s that simple! Besides convenience, vape pens deliver accurate serving sizes once you determine how many puffs you get per cartridge.

Another option is to buy CBD e-juice, they come in different strengths, and range from low (25mg of CBD per 10ml bottle) to high (500mg of CBD per 10ml bottle).

Which CBD Products Can Be Vaped?

Vapeable CBD comes in the form of an oil. CBD vape oils normally include a substance called propylene glycol (PG), which is added as a thinning agent that allows the mixture to wick more easily. Don’t worry, PG is GRAS (generally regarded as safe) and is used in food production all the time.

Vape users can choose to use either pre-filled cannabis oil cartridges or e-liquids (AKA weed vape juice, cannabis e-liquid, or CBD e-juice). More experienced vapers might use our CBD isolate with a dabbing rig. Dabbing is the flash vaporization of concentrates that are applied to a hot surface and inhaled. These concentrates are usually more potent than preloaded cartridges. Each kind can come in a variety of flavors, such as strawberry, guava, lemon, etc.

When you ask yourself, “How much CBD oil should I vape?” Remember to: stay low, and go slow. Recommending a specific starting point is pretty tough, as each individual is different. Low amounts at a slow pace is perfect advice for the beginning vaper.

At first, try vaping 10mg of CBD on your first day. If you notice positive results, stay with that for a week or so. Again, it’s important to remember that everybody’s body is different. If you don’t “feel” anything, try 20mg the next day. Work up to about 30mg of CBD per day, once a week is enough for most users to feel relaxed and clear-headed.

If you go higher after that, don’t worry. Some CBD users consume much more than this, upwards of 200mg per day, easy. We’re not saying that you should too or to set that as a goal, but don’t stress if you find yourself wanting to add more to your “low and go” routine.
