HempMeds SoCal Expo Recap

The Southern California Cannabis Conference and Expo took place on Aug 6-7, 2016 , promoting the fast expanding cannabis industry to a San Diego crowd of over 3,000 visitors each day. HempMeds® centered their event activity at the HempMeds® Pavilion, the largest of 210 booths set up on the San Diego Convention Center’s expo floor.

The HempMeds® team met the booth’s steady stream of traffic to showcase our line of CBD hemp oil products. This included the launch of our new RSHO-X™. Originally formulated to meet Mexico’s strict cannabis regulations, HempMeds® now offers our CBD product with no detectable THC, RSHO-X™, to customers nationwide in the U.S. and in over 40 countries worldwide.

On the other side of the HempMeds® Pavilion, Kannaway® reps demoed their anti-aging Cannabis Beauty Defined® skincare products and the HempVap® line of CBD hemp oil vapes.

As a leader in the fast growing cannabis industry, HempMeds® is looking for dynamic new talent to join our team. In order to achieve this, the HempMeds® Pavilion was a hub of activity, with industry hopefuls lining up with resumes in hand.

Within site of the HempMeds®’s booth, the event’s main stage hosted a number of professional presentations and expert panels, covering all areas of the cannabis industry. On Sunday afternoon, Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Dr. Stuart Titus detailed the past medical research and current efforts that have positioned cannabis to be the next phase in the health industry in his talk titled The Exploding Marketplace of Cannabidiol (CBD).

Preceding Dr. Titus on the stage was CMW Media’s panel Children and Cannabis. Featuring three families of special needs children, the panel brought tears to many an eye and attendees to their feet for a number of standing ovations. After their presentation, the panel members and their families stopped by the HempMeds® pavilion to pose for pictures and to meet with our team.

Reps for HempMeds® were on hand at the HempMeds® Pavilion to demonstrate our line of products and answer any questions that visitors had about CBD hemp oil.



Andrew Hard of CMW Media stopped by the HempMeds® Pavilion with the showstopper of the Children and Cannabis panel, Lily Howard, who spoke about what it is like growing up with a special needs sibling.



Multiple media outlets stopped by the HempMeds® Pavilion to interview HempMeds®’s parent company Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Dr. Stuart Titus, who gave one of the featured presentations on Sunday afternoon.



On display at the HempMeds® booth was the anti-aging brand Cannabis Beauty Defined®, which combines CBD hemp oil with an ancient Bi-Bong™ herbal blend for a nourishing botanical skincare line.



The HempMeds® team gathered for a photo in a rare moment of calm before the convention center doors opened to the eager crowds.



Penny Howard, founder of Hope4Harper, received multiple standing ovations during her emotional discussion of her daughter’s contribution to genetic research at nearby UCSD.



At the expo, HempMeds® launched our new RSHO-X™, the first CBD hemp oil product to be created with no detectable THC, the psychoactive compound in marijuana.



Event goers were all smiles as they sampled our products at the HempMeds® Pavilion.



With so many choices in CBD hemp oil brands at the expo, HempMeds® representatives went out of their way to give attendees the information needed to make the best personal choice in brands.



HempMeds® made a donation to Proposition 64, also known as AUMA, California’s recreational marijuana measure, which was recently approved for the ballot in November.



If passed, the ballot initiative would legalize the adult use of recreational marijuana in the state. Volunteers for the Prop 64 campaign hosted a booth at the event where they educated attendees, answered questions, and signed up interested parties for their newsletter. The donations by HempMeds® and Dr. Bronner’s will go towards raising awareness for the ballot initiative and mobilizing support come election day.



HempMeds® was also the subject of stories from a variety of media outlets, including Fox 5, CW6 News, and NBC.

Representatives from the HempMeds® team stopped by Fox 5 News the day before the expo to promote the HempMeds® line of products, including their CBD hemp oil vapes, energy chews, and an anti-aging skin care brand. The center of attention for the segment, though, was HempMeds®’s latest product, RSHO-X™, a first of its kind hemp oil product with no detectable THC that became the only cannabis product currently approved by Mexico to be imported into the country.


CW6 News San Diego sent a crew to the Southern California Cannabis Conference and Expo to record the event, including shots of the HempMeds® Pavilion and the HempMeds® line of products. During an interview for the video, CMW Media’s Andrew Hard emphasized the role that RSHO-X™ and HempMeds® Mexico have played in expanding access to CBD oil in Mexico.
