01 Nov Hemp Seed Aioli
There’s nothing better to spread on veggie burgers or to use as a dip for vegetables or sweet potato fries than a creamy aioli sauce. Most of the time, aioli is a yummy but unhealthy addition to your meal. However, your aioli can also be a good source of natural benefits if you use hemp oil and hemp seeds in your recipe. Both hemp oil and seeds have a nutty flavor that will add a delicious touch to your sauce.
Making hemp seed aioli is as simple as tossing together a handful of ingredients and pushing a button. All you’ll need is a food processor, which you’ll use to blend your ingredients and make the mixture creamy.
Add 5 tablespoons of hemp seeds, 2 garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, ¼ cup of basil leaves and 2 tablespoons of hemp oil into your food processor. Turn on the food processor to blend all of the ingredients. You may need to stop and wipe down mixture that’s gotten stuck to the sides of the food processor’s bowl. Depending on what you’ll be serving with the aioli, you may want a thicker or thinner sauce. You can tweak the consistency of the aioli by adding water. If you feel the aioli is too thick, add a tablespoon of water at a time and blend again.
Besides a burger spread or dip for fries, you can use the hemp seed aioli on sandwiches and as a topping for roasted or baked potatoes. You can also spread it over toasted sourdough or drizzle it over the top of homemade pizza. This aioli with hemp seeds and oil is an example of how easy it is to incorporate hemp seeds and oil into your meals. You can incorporate hemp seeds and oil into a number of dips and sauces and in turn make them a quality source of nutrients.
